radio station rebrands itself 'Trump 103.3' A Connecticut radio station is rebranding itself as "Trump 103.3" in an effort to "make a big splash" and "ramp up the listeners," according to one station host. The conservative talk station, WDRC, is based in Bloomfield, Conn., and includes syndicated commentary from former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly. Hosts include conservatives Ben Shapiro, Mike Gallagher and Dana Loesch. "My [station] owner is a crazy person, but in a good way. He likes to make a big splash and he likes to ramp up the listeners," host Lee Elci told the Hartford Courant on Wednesday. "It seems like the listeners have embraced it, even if it is for the short term. A lot of people like it. A lot of people think it's funny." Connecticut is primarily a blue state that no Republican presidential candidate has won since George H.W. Bush in 1988. Its governor, Ned Lamont; both U.S. senators, Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy; and all five representatives are Democrats. Station executives are calling the new format "ultra conservative talk" and the "brave new voice of freedom," according to the CTPost.com. The format is only expected to be for the short-term.
